Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., once said: “An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.” Through the webinars in this course, we aim to help participants heighten their awareness of leadership, ethicality, and service in the context of community engagement and social responsibility.
Dr. King said, “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice.” Thus the goal of philanthropy once it extends past charity must be justice. Imposing a justice lens on philanthropy can nurture courageous leaders to confront social issues with a new kind of empathy. This course encourages participants to view philanthropy through a much wider lens.
